Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) – The Kabilin Center together with Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation (CFIF) Inc., is set to open its door for another exhibition, entitled, “Handurawang Kinamot: Cebuano Design and Heritage” Exhibition showcasing the beauty of Cebuano design and craftsmanship.
The exhibition held a Vernissage, a private preview for local artisans, designers and design manufacturers of Cebu, on October 3, 2024. It officially opened to the public on October 4, 2024, and will run until February 7, 2025.
Handurawang Kinamot: Cebuano Design and Heritage offers a tribute to Cebu’s legacy of craftsmanship, positioning local design as a focal point in an intergenerational cultural dialogue. This exhibition brings together the traditions of Cebuano artisans with contemporary designs, highlighting the contributions of makers whose skills have been passed down through generations. From delicate decorative adornments to sturdy practical tools, each piece embodies the diversity of craft and its deep roots in cultural and community life.
