“Duyan ang Kadagatan (Cradled by the Sea): Cebuano Culture and the Heritage of the Sea” exhibit journeys to Bantayan to celebrate the rich heritage of the fishermen and their profound connection to the waters.
In partnership with the Municipality of Bantayan, Cebu, we at The Kabilin Center are excited to announce the opening of this transformative exhibit last March 15, 2024, at Byay Hubahib, an ancestral house that reflects the essence of local culture.
The Bantayanons and guests have the opportunity to explore a variety of displays that highlight traditions, stories, and artistry of the island’s fishing communities. The exhibit will be on display until September 2025, inviting everyone to immerse in the rich tapestry of Cebuano maritime heritage.
