The Kabilin Center from Culture and Heritage of Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) organized the first-ever mentoring program called “Kasaulogan: A Celebration of Creativity” as a complement to the exhibition “Saulog: Encounter, Pilgrimage and Transformation” featuring Faith, Fashion, and Arts by Steve de Leon.
The Kabilin Center selected 10 young emerging Cebuano creatives, including Venise Galan, King Rosales, and Pamela Amistad, Jon Concejeros, Manuel Jamio, Mikhail Achas, Edenlyn Into Christopher Ybanez, Francis Branzuela, and Fatti Rebano. The top 10 participants had the opportunity to receive guidance from Steve de Leon and Fr. Jason Dy, S.J. to develop their artistic skills and showcase their masterpiece.
The first showcase took place on May 10, 2024, during the Gabii sa Kabilin (GSK) and attracted over five thousand visitors to the exhibition at The Kabilin Center. The culmination was the “Kasaulogan” exhibition at SM City Cebu, from June 28 to July 28, 2024.
