The Gabii sa Kabilin Online Exhibit aims to show the evolution of the annual heritage
This year’s Gabii sa Kabilin theme is: “Pagpanag-iya”, or in English, Owning Our Story.
This year’s theme commemorates the upcoming 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Independence. We will showcase how we were able to manipulate the trappings of colonialism to serve our interests as a people and how we asserted our right to tell our story.
Gabii sa Kabilin 2023 was another night for the books. It was hard to fit 6 hours of museum hopping, unique presentations, and eating, in a video, but we did it!
Thank you to the 7,760 participants for coming out to join us in rediscovering our identity and sense of community. We look forward to seeing you all next year!
